Dr David Kirkwood
Managing DirectorDr David Kirkwood, the founder of Indicatura & Managing Director, is a recognised leader in the areas of Whole Life Value and Asset Management. In his 31-year career, David has worked across many areas, from implementation of Condition-Based Maintenance systems to leading reliability in multi-billion-pound capital projects. His passion for challenging the ‘current’ practice’ has established the foundations for Indicatura’s unique approach to driving client benefits within their capital investment portfolios.
David is responsible for developing and delivering Indicatura’s valuable Intellectual Property, including our unique approach to enhancing Whole Life Value, Knowledge-Based Economic Engineering (KBEE®), and the supporting software applications.
Jeff Allen
Operations DirectorAs a prize-winning MBA graduate, Jeff Allen brings a wealth of experience in P3M, outcome management and complex change management to his role as Director. Jeff has made contributions in defence, education, fresh produce, manufacturing, publishing and the UK’s news trade, among others, and is an expert in supporting complex capital programmes.
An outcome and risk management expert, Jeff has led projects enabling client savings of over £100m, along with ensuring success for client change programmes.
Angus Harding
Commercial Clients DirectorAngus is an experienced executive who has helped shape the real estate outsourcing market in Europe. Through work with some of the world’s best known corporate brands he is a significant contributor to changing the perception of built assets from a cost burden to a business enabler. After more than 25 years of diverse leadership roles within the industry he brings a unique perspective on driving transformation and delivering business gains through smart investment in built assets and the services that support them.
He brings curiosity and energy to challenge ways in which the industry engages and remains an evangelist for breaking down silos to better deliver against business goals and effectively prepare to meet future demand.
Remembering Dr Ian Kennedy (1962 – 2024)
Dr Ian Kennedy was incredibly accomplished in both his personal life and professional career. Before joining Indicatura in June 2021, Ian was a business leader with over 30 years of experience in delivering significant results for major organisations worldwide.
Ian was a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester. His consulting experience and expertise was recognised through his membership of the awards panel for the Management Consultancies Association.
Following his Ph.D. Ian worked at Wolfson Maintenance, rising to be its Managing Director. It was at Wolfson that Ian and David Kirkwood first met and started working together, beginning a personal and professional relationship that spanned 33 years.
After many successful years in a variety of organisations, culminating in a senior role with Arcadis, Ian joined Indicatura and took over the role of Managing Director from David.
Ian was extremely excited by the potential that Indicatura had demonstrated and his belief in the business was evident to the team and clients alike.
His passion and enthusiasm for Indicatura was clearly demonstrated through his success in leading the business and achieving growth of 150% in just two and a half years.
Ian’s impact however went beyond commercial and financial growth. He embraced and nurtured the amazing culture and passion for inclusion and innovation that makes Indicatura so special, while still managing to grow the business at a significant rate.
He was an incredibly inspiring leader who challenged and supported the team daily and whose kindness and compassion are still evident in the culture he helped to create.
We remember Ian and his wonderful contribution to the Indicatura team both professionally and personally. He will be dearly missed by all his colleagues, and we will honour his legacy as we continue to grow the business of which he was so proud.
